Sorry to take so long in replying. We were all in a family wedding this past weekend and are just starting to catch up. I only have some Hood census info from the 1800's from Roane County, TN. There are no released census records after 1920 to search for Walter. However, I did go to our branch of the Archives today and had a moment to look for William in TN. Unfortunately, he is probably about 13 years old then, living with his parents. There are so many HOOD families in TN then; I'm sorry I couldn't look through all of them for you. I tried possible father names of Walter, William, Henry, Howard, and Richard to no avail. Where do you live? I'm sure there is probably an LDS center or branch of the Archives near you so you can search through the 1920 index yourself. Also, have you looked him up on the Social Security Death Index? I saw one William there born March 27, 1906, who died in January of 1965. You can send for his application with parents listed if you find him there. Good luck to you! Lauren
