I have a gg grandfather named William "Billy" Hood born 1826 and lived for the most part in Blount County, TN. It has been told to us that he was an Indian Chief but we have no proof of this. I have a picture of his daughter Sarah (married Humphries) and she is definitely Indian.She is my g grandmother. Billy moved to Knoxville and died in 1902. Does anyone have any info on this family?
