according to the records shown in the complete works 'Macanese Families', Jorge Forjaz, 1996, edited by the Orient Foundation, Portugal,
I can tell you this much on FLORIANO ANTÓNIO RANGEL JR.:
his father was Floriano António Rangel, born in Macao October 25th 1778.
He also died in Macao on february 25th 1843.
He married Anna Maria Antónia de Jesus Correia de Carvalho at Igeja de S. Lourenço on October 7th 1804; she was the daughter of António Luiz de Carvalho and Feliciana Jorge Correia; she was born in Macao on June 3rd 1788.
FLORIANO ANTÓNIO RANGEL Jr. was born on October 1st 1816, tuesday, between 4 and 5 AM. He was christened in Igreja da Sé (Macao); the godparents were Father António Pereira and Holly Barbara.
FLORIANO ANTÓNIO RANGEL Jr. worked for "Jardine, Matheson & Co.", Hong-Kong.
According to the register of Igreja da Sé, Macao, he married Ana Maria de Lemos on January 24th 1842.
Ana Maria de Lemos was born in Macao on January 24th 1814. She was the 6th child of Bernardo Gomes de Lemos (born in Lisbon (Encarnação) around 1780/died in Macao on June 11th 1844) and of Maria Ana de Araújo (born in Macao on October 10th 1804).
FLORIANO ANTÓNIO RANGEL Jr. and his first wife Ana Maria de Lemos had five children together:
- Ana Maria Rangel, born in Macao on April 3rd 1843, christened on December 28th 1844; her godfather was the Bishop D. Nicolau Pereira Borja.
- Miquelina Vicência Rangel, born in Macao on November 12th, 1848.
- Floriano António Rangel, born in Hong-Kong on June 18th 1850.
- Domitília Luisa Rangel, born in Hong-Kong on June 11th, 1854.
- Rufina Josefa Rangel, born in Hong-Kong on May 5th 1857.
FLORIANO RANGEL Jr. married Mathilde in Hong-Kong (there are no records concerning her background).
Their only child was Aires Floriano Rangel, born in Hong-Kong on April 5th 1857.

As for myself, I am the daughter of a Macanese. One of his childwood friends was Jorge Alberto da Conceição Hagedorn Rangel ("Jimmy"), born on July 12th 1943. He visited my father here in Europe 2 and a half years ago. Jimmy chose to stay in Macao after the 'handover'.
