Hi,

If I can piece things together then Penny was the daughter of Alfred and Alfred would be your grandfather. My knowledge of the Hone history in Ireland is really limited. Can you remind me who Mary Hone married and do you have the names of her children?

William Hone was my father. He came to the USA in the 1930's and died in 1978. Alfred had one son named John born in the early 1950's. He married late in life, perhaps 5 years or so ago and lives in the south of Ireland. They have no children.

I did some research about my grandfather with very little success. i did hear a story that his mother was an Anna Hone who probably was a single mother. He was pretty successful in life, owning a small farm and distributing things like eggs and milk around Sion Mills and that area in Tyrone.

Which John Hone do you have pictures of: great grandfather or cousin? Also, I would guess that you must live around London since I believe that Penny was from London.

I'll see if I can dig up more information after I return from a week's trip. Hope this is of some value to you.
