I am the g.g.g.grandson of Judge Joseph Hone, one time Master of the Supreme Court of Van Diemen's Land <Tasmania Australia> in the time of Lt Governor Arthur. Joseph was born in London England 1783 and died in Tasmania 1861. He is the younger brother of William Hone, the celebrated writer, bookseller and fighter for the freedom of the English press. I live on the Gold Coast Qld. Saw Brisbane Hones and wonder if I am connected to them via Joseph. Joseph m twice. His first marriage produced two daughters and they both m and had lots of children. After his first wife died, he married and had two sons. One died but the other survived. Unfortunately my line from Joseph Hone has lost contact with the other lines. But, I have been able to get in contact with other "cousins" from William's line.
