I have been attempting to research my family tree but have run into a brick wall. I can trace it back to J. Ephraim Hommel (married to Kathryn Berger) but past that there seems to be confusion about his parents. I have a great aunt who indicated that his parents were George Adam Hummel (married to Ann Tittle), but all the records I have found on the internet have them as being George Hommel (married to Anna Cook). Beyond the latter set (on the George Hommel/Anna Cook side), I can get back no further then them in terms of ancestors. I have traced the other two (George Adam Hummel/Ann Tittle) back pretty far. My feeling is that George Hommel/Anna Cook are probably the correct set of parents.
Any help that anyone can provide would be most appreciated,
