I have information going back to 1499 thanks to a cousin. My grandfather, Charles Homewood was born in 1883 in Grays, Orsett, Essex, England and moved with his family to Vancouver, B.C., Canada in the late 1800's. GG was Henry Hayes Homewood born 1847 in Hadlow, Tonbridge, Kent married GG Harriet Brooker. My grandfather had six brothers, Obadiah (Harry) born 1877 married Levina Robison, Isaac (died before 1887), Harry Roderick (Rod)1881 married Mercy Holmes, Christopher 1889 married Annie, David 1891 married Myrtle, Edward 1899 married Euphemia Miles Byers and three sisters, Beryl 1885(spouse Jack Pettipiece) Ethel 1887(never married), and Katie 1895, (spouse William McIntosh).
GGGGG was William Holmwood, born 1758, Rotherfield, Sussex married Elizabeth Mew, seven children, William Holmwood, 1779, Michael Holmwood 1782, George Holmwood, 1784
Harber Holmwood, 1789, Hannah Holmwood, 1791, Jenny Holmwood, 1794, my GGGG Mark Homewood (and where the name changed) 1796, Luke Holmwood, 1796 and Elias Holmwood 1800.
