vicki,
you said that george w vaughan applied for citizenship to the cherokee nation.was he granted citizenship?do you have a role number for him?we have been unable to find one so far.we were told by my grandma that the welsch fur trapper wouldn't let the indian woman sign up.anyway, we always heard the story about the indian princess farabalogna.i believe it is the feriby looney that you have mentioned.sidney was born in 1861 in st. louis, mo she died around 1938 in bc canada.i am not sure of her siblings, i have their names in my grandma's bible.i can get them for you, it will take a few days, though.i have a few pictures of sidney also.she had 11 children, my grandma being one of them.grandma had 11 children, so there are a lot of us.which line do you fall into?i do not know where or when mary martha homesely and clinton lewis died.grandma said mary took ill and died.i believe clinton remarried and had more children.my aunt remembers a lot about sidney, i will ask some more questions about her if you like.i would like to know more about the indian, and if you have any pictures, i would absolutely love to see them.will they be included in your book?so glad to hear from you and look forward to our next chat.you can e-mail me personally if you like:[email protected]
