Hi Jane. This may be a complete red herring, and I have no further info - but a John Homer married a Sarah Pearson in St Thomas Church, Dudley, England on 13th August 1792. Whether they susequently emigrated to the USA I cannot say, but the timeframe seems about right, and it might be worth further investigation. i.e. checking if they had any offspring baptised in Dudley parish records in the years after the marriage. If they did emigrate it is most likely they went from Liverpool, and checking immigrant lists from that port over the following 8 years might be worthwhile. Rob
