Hello Anthony,
Things are getting very interesting regarding your find on Henry Ponsonby Tuite Sterling being the son of Mark and Charlotte. I have no doubt now that my Mark is also a son, and brother to Henry. As you know Mark and Charlotte have a daughter Adeline Jane Sterling bth 1862 also my Mark has a daughter Clara Adeline Sterling bth 1886. My belief is that my Mark called his daughter after his sister Adeline and the Clara came from Marks wife's sister Clara Home/Holme. It's seems to much of a coincedence!...I didn't get much joy from my cousin in Australia regarding further info on the Tuite Sterlings. I only got a little more info regarding Marks wife Louisa Margaret Home/Holme. She had a sister Clara who I have mentioned above and a brother James who was postmaster general in Bombay up to 1924 he then emigrated to Australia. Clara married someone who's surname is Brown and lived in Burma. This of course is not going to help us with our Tuite Sterlings.
I will write up all the dates etc but as for a visit to the OIOC it's not possible as I am disabled. Though I would really enjoy this if it was possible but will have to leave this to the able bodied.
A correction has to be made to my Mark's death, I was right the first time it was 1920 Agra, my cousin confirmed this. Also earlier he told me that one of Marks 2 sons was James, this is not so he made a mistake. Getting on in years makes one's memory fade unfortunatly.
