Hello Ian, Got your message thank you. Cannot say that I had heard the name mentioned of a Henry but our info is very limited on the family line. Your Henry could possibly be a brother to my grt grandfather Mark Tuite Sterling who was born about the late 1850's, the time seems to fit this as a possibility. He was married to Louisa Margaret Home/Holm whom was called Mary for short. She died 1927 in Lucknow if I remember right. Their 2 daughter's were born in Black Town (Madras) but I do not know where and when their two sons were born even their names have been long forgotten. I do know they were younger siblings to Ethel May Sterling my grandmother born 1879. One of these son's had three children, son George, daughter Sybil whom married a Chamel/Shamel -from South Africa. 2nd daughter was Margery.I should think these three offspring are now deceased. Looking forward to see any new developement regarding linking our lines and ancestry. I wished that I had thought of researching the family earlier as the ones whom would have the right info are long gone. Our family also came back to the UK when the British left India. Hope to hear from you again soon. Regards Christine. Notify Administrator about this message?
