Hello Anthony,

I made an error in the message concerning Mark Tuite Sterlings death. I got confused with another ancester's death. Mark died a lot earlier than the date I gave you but when we do not know. He wasn't old when he died as he was still in the Army as an engineer. He was on duty and wasn't wearing adaquate clothing and caught Pneumonia.
About your theory of Mark being sent to Scotland to be brought up could well be right. I never found a birth certificate registered in Scotland at all. I did wonder if he was born in India? We were under the impression that the Sterlings had brought him up but you know how stories get changed over the decades! My knowledge is very limited on Mark so unable to add anymore info.
Christine.
