Hello Anthony,

It is so good to see light at the end of the tunnet as the saying goes. What you have told me so far ring bell's. From what has been said from grandparent Ethel May Sterling. Mark Tuite Sterling her father had come from a prominent family. But our Mark was the Black Sheep of the family and we didn't quite no why? We were under the impression he was sent from Scotland. He had firey red hair and a broad Scottish Accent. His offspring were exeptionally tall, the boy's that is. This older Mark Sterling you mentioned which could be our Mark's father did cross my mind when I found him on the IGI's but couldn't find out for sure. Also on the IGI I found a Mark Stirling Tuite born in India about 1805 and this made me curious because of the name. I will be interested to know more so I am quoting my email address for you. Also to your question about do I know any other Tuite-Stirlings, No! I hadn't in my research come across any.

Christine.
