Yes Robert, we are related.I have the info on the administration record of John Homan, 01 Mar 1824 giving exrs. of the estate David, John R., and Michael of Rockingham Co, VA.Wife, Mary, is Mary Robinson NOT Holeman; the Holemans, Hammons, Hommons were in Shenandoah Co, VA. I've research those lines asvariants of Homan--nothing matched. That bit of erroneous information has been floating around for a while.Every time I run across it, I have attempted to set the record straight.John W. Wayland's book LINCOLNS OF VIRGINIA, 1946, p. 180--"On October 26, 1826, Abraham then aged 27, married Mary Homan, daughter of John and Mary (Robinson) Homan"Note: Abraham is Col. Abraham Lincoln s/o Jacob Lincoln and Dorcas Robinson.
John Homan b. abt 1758; d. 21 Jan 1824 (tombstone)
(Mary) "Polly" Robinson b. abt. 1759; d. 28 Jun 1825 (tombstone)
Children:
Sarah Homan m. Jacob Artz
David Franklin Homan m. Lydia Thomas
Elizabeth Homan m. Jacob Gochenour (Jacob m. twice bef.)
John R. Homan m (1) Margaret Moore, (2) Deborah
Riddle/Ruddell, (3) Mary L. Dyer
Note:He is often confused with his nephew, John R.
Homan s/o David and Lydia Thomas Homan
Michael Homan m. Leannah (Thomas?)
Mary Homan m. Abraham Lincoln
I have more detailed information which I will gladly share.
