I would appreciate another opinion on this name--John HOLTON? http://167.7.33.100/onlinearchives/RecordImage.aspx?recordId=103824 Surveyed for John ALEXANDER 200 acres in Mecklinburge Co on both sides of Lawsons Fork the waters of Packolet above John HOLTONs line beginning at a black oak saplen on the south side of said fork thence S80 E180 poles to a black oak thence N10 E180 poles crossing the creek to a post oak thence N80 W180 poles to a stake then to the beginning 5th Jany 1768 by Wm SHARP Surveyor This is a plat surveyed and granted as NC; however, later determined to be SC. If this is LAWSONS Fork Creek of Pacolet River, it's just north of Spartanburg SC. On another plat, he was indexed as ROTTEN; however, after inspecting the online plat, it seemed to be ROLLINS to me (RAWLINS). Now, I'm wondering if it's HOLTON. Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Notify Administrator about this message?
