Michael Holt, who died 1798 or 1799 in Orange Co., NC, left a will in which he named his daughter Margaret who had married John Powell, Jr. Is anything known about any other of his children?
It is possible he had another daughter who married Ambrose Powell, brother of John, Jr., and descendent Jerry Powell has posited that this other daughter and Ambrose moved from Burke Co. back to Orange Co. because of Michael's terminal illness; after which Ambrose's wife died within a few years.
Did Michael have a son Jeremiah who witnessed a deed in Orange Co. dated 24 Nov. 1800 between Ambrose Powell and a Thomas Purkins?
Did Thomas Purkins have a son or brother Nicholas Perkins who sold land in Maury Co., TN to Ambrose in/about 1809?
Do HOLT researchers have any information about any of these possibly related people?
