Walter Holt in Oklahoma

I have spent so many hours looking for Walter Holt.
Unfortunately, I have very little information.
In the early to mid 1940's, he was in Enid, Oklahoma.
He knew a woman named Mildred Crow. He was either on leave, or finally out of the military by 1946. They had a son, I think he never knew about.
My father is that son, and he ended up being sold to a couple with the last name of Kunkel. Because he was sold, all records were changed, and my father didn't find his mother until 1985. She has turned him away twice now, shutting the door on him when he went to her house after the intial meetings. I don't understand the secrecy. My father is 62 now, was born dec 6, 1946. He just wants to find his father before he passes, if it's not already too late. He has never had a family that loved him, with the exception of his wife, and kids.
He looks to have indian ancestry. Long nose, and dark fine, thin hair. He is a spitting image of his father, Walter.
Can anyone help me with any kind of detail. Please.
Thank you.
