“James A. Holt, age 57, of Tellico Plains, died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday at Fort Sanders Presbyterian Hospital in Knoxville. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Eva Holt; daughters, Mrs. Delano Raby of Bristol, Mrs. Kenneth Hamilton, Misses Jo and Kay Holt all of Tellico Plains; sons, Billy Holt of Tellico Plains, Dennis (Pete) Holt of Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; four sisters; five brothers; two grandchildren. Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tellico Baptist Church. Rev. Virgil Tallent and Rev. Billy L. Jones officiated. Burial in Center Cemetery. Biereley’s [Funeral Home] in charge.”
