hi mate ,

I think william Holmes had a son called william holmes who moved to Sydney, and set up a boat shed/building business at lavender bay.

He had a son called Reginald holmes and another one called Les. I'm not sure when this william died but probably in Sydney.

Reginald had two sons, Reginald jnr and William.

William had a son called william and the lot of them remained witin in the boating industry in and around Sydney to this day.

Reginald Holmes snr, was a colourful kinder fella, google the words Shark Arm Murder and you will find all sorts about Reg. The shark arm murder was the dingo murder of its era and very famous in Sydney.

Reg died in 11.6.1935,aged about 43 years. leaving a widow ivey and the two sons. She died in 1952 in the Lavender bay house during a house fire. leaving the two sons.

I'm currently researching the Murders he was allegedly involved with. I'll fill you in more as I find out anything interesting. I hope to not offend your family so please don't take this interest I currently have in the wrong way.

Karen Askew.
