Jennifer,
Probably the best way to find Eunice Holmes parents names is to send for either her death certificate or her SS5 form. The death cert. should have both parents full names & ,hopefully, her place of birth in Georgia (town/city). The SS5 form is the application Eunice would have filled out to apply for her SS number/card. It asked for both parents names (including mother`s maiden name) & for her place of birth. Once you have that info. you can try to find Eunice on a census with her parents. You can generate a letter to the SS admin. requesting the SS5. The cost is $27. Go here to search & you`ll see the button to generate the letter to the far right of Eunice`s name: http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/
There are two Eunice Holmes on the 1920 census born within 2 yrs. of 1910 in Georgia. One is in Gordon Co & the other is in Glynn co. Both of these are listed as white; the Ohio death index at Ancestry.com lists Eunice as being African-American.
