Eugenia, Ezra Holmes is listed on pg. 116 of the book " The Descendants of George Holmes of Roxbury" by George Arthur Gray. This book is available at Google Books. It`s here: http://tinyurl.com/7cuzfe. I`ll paste the section for Ezra below. Pat R. Ezra' Holmes (James,' John,' John,' John,' George1). Born in Salisbury, Conn., March 4, 1764, and died in York, Livingston Co., N. Y., Jan. 18, 1846. He married in Salisbury, Nov. 10, 1791, Grace Chittenden, born in Killingsworth, Conn., Mar. 23, 1766, and died in York, N. Y.,in 1834, daughter of Daniel and Grace ( Watrous) Chittenden. He was in the Revolution in 1776, also later. He was a blacksmith and afterwards a farmer. He introduced and sold the first clocks seen in western Connecticut. He lived in Salisbury for a few years after marriage. Dec. 27, 1792, he, in company with Seth Lucas, bought several parcels of land " Reserving liberty for Tim Miller to pass thro." In 1793 Lucas sold his "One half of a farm of land" to Holmes, who on Jan. 11, 1794, sold the whole to Rigsley( ?) Torrey. He then moved to Winchester, Conn., where he stayed until 1810, when he moved to York, Notify Administrator about this message?
