Certainly sounds asthough we have a similar family history.I live in Lancashire,England. As far as I am aware, most of the 'Holme' descendants still live in Westmoreland(Cumbria). I think you know considerably more about your ancestry than I do about mine.It is very good to hear from people who lived in Mardale. There is so little of that area left.
