I grew up believing that my Great grandfather was William August Holmes. Recent information shared with me suggests that he may have been Wilhelm August Holm, born January 19, 1834 in Helsingor, Denmark. The St. Olai church birth records indicate that his parents were Carl August Holm and Trine Espergreen or Espergren. The 1840 census shows Wilhelm, Wilhelmine Petersen, 9, daughter, and Eduart Emil Holm 4, a son. If anyone knows anything about this family please contact me. Thanks.
