Jacob Holloway5 (Elijah4, Malachi3, Samuel, William1) He was not a Quaker and was not the son of Asa Holloway from Burlington Co., NJ as is so often quoted on the internet.
Jacob Holloway was mentioned in "Genealogy of the Holloway Families" by Dr. Olin Holloway. (See Chapter XXX, page 366). He made no reference to his origin.
Jacob Holloway was mentioned in "William Holloway of Taunton Mass" by Everett Hall Pendleton (See pages 69 & 70)He failed to pursue his descendants.
Jacob Holloway was b. 26 Oct 1767 near Morristown and Mendham, NJ and d. 2 Apr 1852 Warren Co., Ohio. i. Lebanon Cemetery at Lebanon, Warren Co Ohio.
He was married c.1789 to Hannah Cory, born 9 Oct 1772 at New Providence, Union Co., NJ and died 26 Nov 1862 at Warren Co., Ohio. Hannah Cory was the daughter of Jeremiah Cory and his first wife, Mary Bishop.

25 Dec 1801 - Purchased land in Warren Co. Turtle Creek Township, Section 7while residence was Hamilton County 170 acres on northeast corner of Hart Rd. and Miller Rd. Northwest of Lebanon.
1805 - Jacob Holloway joined Shakers Religious group.
1809 - Turtle Creek Twp., Warren CountyTax list
1812-1813 - Left farm to join Shakers in Union Village, Turtlecreek Twp., Warren Co., Ohio.

5. David Hollowayb. 20 Feb 1799 d.1 Feb 1875 Lebanon, Warren Co., Ohio. Born on Duck Creek Road, Cincinnati OH. He was fourteen years old when his parents became Shakers. He remained with "Union Village" until 1831. He then married Ann Nicholson on 8 Dec 1835. hey had 6 children; Hannah, Mary E., Thomas,John, Jacob, and William.He lived in Lebanon and buried Lebanon Cemetery.
6. Cephas Holloway b. 29 Dec 1800 Turtle Creek Twp., Warren Co., Ohio d. 27 Feb 1885 Warren Co., Ohio.He was a deacon at Shakers where he died.
