Jon, I show the following on this Hollon family, some I collected, and some from the internet. Sion Hollon, Jr., was my wife's gg grandfather by way of his son William B. Hollon:
Sion Hollon, Sr. was born Jan 05, 1787 in South Carolina. He married Elizabeth *** (b 1883 in NC) on March 26, 1812. Sion died before 1850, after which Elizabeth as well as her youngest daughter Martha moved into the home of Sion Hollon, Jr. During 1860 Census she lived in Kingston Beat next to daughter Martha Oates.
--- 2 Samuel W. Hollon, b. Jul 11, 1813, South Carolina. m Sarah Blake (b 1822 in NC). Samuel and Sarah were married by David Rogers, Justice of the Peace. John W. Hollon, the bondsman, was quoted saying at that time that Sarah's parents told him that she is over 18 years of age. For the 1850 Census name was Holland, 1860 Census this family resided in the Independence Beat and spelled their name “Hollen”
--- 2 John William Hollon was born Jun 25, 1814 in South Carolina. He was married to Elizabeth in 1850 Census. He married Nancy Ann Cook Mar 15, 1859 in Autauga County, Alabama17, daughter of James Cook and Ann Etherage.
--- 2. Sion Hollon , Jr. was born Jul 06, 1818 in South Carolina, married Martha J. Hays ** on August 03, 1848 in Autauga County, Alabama. In 1860 Census (Pine Flat Beat) Sion went by the name Levi. His mother Elizabeth (b 1783) lived in his home during the 1850 Census (Huddleston Beat), as well as his younger sister Martha (b 1834). In the 1840 Census his name was spelled Holland.
