Hollister-Alden connection

I am a direct descendant of Jonathan Fairbanks and also of John Hollister. My middle name is Alden and I have always been told that it is in honor of John Alden of the Plymouth Colony. I am trying to find a tie that confirms this.

I would be most grateful to hear of any tidbits that anyone has come across that would point me in the right direction.
