I appreciate all of the interesting information that you have provided on Hollisters --- thanks for all your research.

I am interested in the Hollister DNA project and have a Hollister relative who is willing to submit DNA to a project. I haven't seen any recent discussion of the Hollister DNA project --- am I missing something?

I have several questions:
1. Is there one major Hollister DNA project, or several?
2. How many descendants of Lt. John Hollister have submitted DNA to the project?
3. Is there a general summary of DNA results that has been provided to let someone know what they might possibly find about their Hollister ancestor if they submit DNA to the project for which Mr. Jenkins is the administrator.
4. There is a very wide range of cost depending on the test chosen and very little guidance on which option a person should choose. For example, if a person's main goal is to determine if he is a descendant of Lt. John Hollister, which option should be chosen?

I have seen some descriptions of DNA projects that seem much more public with information than the Hollister project seems to be and the information provided gives a better indication of the possible ancestors in the United States. Is there a reason for this?

Any information you can provide will be appreciated.

W.F. McFarland
