I am still looking for Charity's parents. I have been looking for several years now. But I do have new information.
She was born 1783 according to the cemetery where she is buried. And was born in Connecticut.
I have found William Dakin, her husband, in the 1800 census living in Franklin NY which is now Patterson. They were living right across the state line from a Gideon Hollister.
Gideon moved to Rome NY. Rumor has it that Charity and William had their first son in Rome NY. But why would they go back to Franklin? But Gideon has several children. One of them was named Sylvester. Sylvester follows the Dakins to Clinton Co. Ohio.
I am thinking there is a connection between Gideon and Charity. Any more clues would be helpful.
