Hi James,

Nathaniel had 16 children all told you did not list the 4 that died.

His line goes Nathaniel born 1731 married Mehitable Mattison 1754.
His father Gideon born 1699 married Rachel Talcott 1723.
His father Thomas born 1672 Married Dorothy Hills date unknown
His father John born about 1644 Married Sarah Goodrich 1667.
His father John and Mother Joanna Treat.

It is not known where they were married

It is thought that John was baptised in Olveston near Bristol England on 2 Sep 1610 son of Thomas and Alice Walker.
Thomas was married 29 Apr 1605 Olveston the son of Maurice and Joane Mabbett.
Thomas was baptised 23 August 1579 Olveston.
Maurice married Joane 24 Feb 1560 Olveston.
He was the son of John born around 1510.
No records exist beyond that date as parish records were only introduced in 1538 and no wills have survived before that date.
Sometime between that date and 1275 the Olveston Hollisters and the Westerleigh Hollisters had a common ancestor.

We are trying to confirm the above by the Y Chromosome DNA Project outlined in another posting on this board.
You could be of considerable help to us and we would love you to join.

Meanwhile if there is`any other information you need either on the family or the project please get in touch.

David
