Hollingsworth Family Genealogy Forum

While Henry Hollingsworth, Editor of the Hollingsworth Register,[it's on the net if you look], spent some years making that connection and wrote about it in at least 3 of his editorials. But this was many years before I started looking for my genealogical forebears and he died about the time I first started looking. I could have saved him a little work in that regard as my mother was the grand-daughter of the last female Hollingsworth of my line comming out of Georgia. My Great-grand-father gave my grand-father and his wife a record of his ancestry back to Pardon Tillinghast in Prov., Rhosde Island and of his Hollingsworth ancesters for a couple of generations back. My mother was orphand at age 3 and was raised by her grand-mother,Georgia Hollingsworth, dughter of John McKinsey Hollingsworth who was the son of James who was the son of Jessie, son of Zebulon who came to Georgia in 1769,who told her all about it. Jessie Hollingsworth was one of the connections in her line. At times I have put the story on this board. I'm too old to search anymore but I also layed out instructions on how to find what you are looking for. Since no one else gave you an answer I thought I'd try to help. I'm 80 now and my memory fails me a bit But I'm lucid right now. Good luck in you efforts. ELTON
