I am trying to identify a James Hollingsworth who appears in the 1870 Census for Wilmington, Delaware. He is described as being 33 years old, born in Delaware, unable to read or write. He had a wife, Susan, 31, and children named Mary, John, Emma, and George. There was probably a daughter, Rebecca, who died as an infant between 1860 and 1870. This family must have fallen on hard times, as it appears that George was an inmate in the Delaware Home for Destitute Children in 1880. I can find no further record of the other members of the family. Doug Hollingsworth Notify Administrator about this message?
