I am a descendant of Lydia Padgett whom I have always been told was a dau of Rev. John Padgett who served in the RW and left a somewhat detailed account of how his Padgett parents lived in Rowan Co, NC during part of the RW. Later, they were in Surry Co. during the RW. Then the family sans the father whom I believe to have been Abraham from the records found, moved to Chester Co., SC where he married Cecelia Hollifield. I have heard that her father was a William Hollifield, but understand that there were two of them.
