Hi Chris,
I always situp up at the name Christopher Holliday or Halliday.. if you have Scottish roots then they had a naming pattern and there are only a few lines of Halliday or Holliday's that had Christopher in the line.
As your grandfather passed away in 2007 ( condolences) does someone you are in contact with have his death certificate?
It should have more info on him or if you're lucky his parents names as well. How old was he when he died? what year does that make him born? I would be interested to make contact with you. Anne-Louise Halliday ( Australia)
