The remains of both young men were transferred from their grave sites yesterday 3/17/2012 to authentic pine box coffins and will rest in state at the Confederate Section of our State Museum of History until April 14th... they will then be transported by horse drawn caisson to our finest cemetery. The path of funeral procession will be around our State Capital, approximately 1.3 miles, and the Honour Guard will consist of Sons of Confederate Veterans, Masonic Lodge members and Daughters of the United Confederacy.
Joseph will receive all due military honours and Joel (classified as a Southern Collaborator in National Archives) will lie by his side, as they have been for 150 years. Joel was a Mason, as was his father, and will receive Masonic Rites.
I personally am proud to be a part of this moment in the history of our state and country.
