My great grandfather was William A. son of Edward J. My grandfather was William C., William A's first born and the brother of Clarence. I'd appreciate any information on Clarence and his offspring. I've build some of my information from earlier information but I am missing at least one wife's name, place of death for Clarence, etc.
I really need information on Edward J., William A's father. He is not mentioned in the 1880 census information for Clinton nor in either the 1887 or 1901 Clinton Directory although his wife (Kate), a midwife is mentioned in all three. What happened to Edward J.? I understand Kate died in St. Louis in 1925 and I have one son, Otto B. dying there in 1933.
The 1880 census lists Otto as 6 years old but I currently have his birth date as 1879 (probably wrong). He would have been William A's brother.
Also need anything on the children of William A. and Emma Leudtke. She is listed as his wife in the 1901 Clinton Directory but I have no marriage date. I have his first wife passing away on 5 Mar 1895. I know my grandfather spoke of half brothers (and half-sisters?). Was Adolf one of them?
