The reason that I researched and published COLONIAL MARYLAND FAMILIES OF JOHN AND CHARLES HOLLINGSWORTH (July, 2005), men who settled on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, is that for a long time many family researchers have suspected they are related to us. I did not prove the direct lineage with this book, but there are indicators that give hope that more material will be discovered to connect us.

One Hollingsworth participant in the DNA Project, whose family feels they are related to the John of this book's title, is related to us as shown by the DNA evidence. I, also, found a William that may be our William, but there is too much unknown of him to make a claim.

I believe that the DNA Project has proven that we are not related to the Hollingworth families who inhabited the area where Hollingworth Hall and Manor were and partially stands today.

Anyone wishing to order COLONIAL MARYLAND FAMILIES OF JOHN AND CHARLES HOLLINGSWORTH may contact me for the order blank.
