James, son of Vincent of Ashe County, NC, is one of the least researched of Vincent's children. What little I have discovered and pieced together is mostly by what doesn't fit anywhere else. I believe Riley Hollingsworth, born in Clay County, KY about 1811 was James' son. Riley's censuses of Clay County for 1850 and 1860 show a son named William who was born about 1838 in Clay County. I do not know whether this has any relevance to this inquiry concerning William Riley Hollandsworth, but it is all I can offer at this time.
