I doubt it, Bernice. What information is included with the service record? Does it give a location for his residence? In 1773 and 1775 William is in Pittsylvania County, but in 1777 he is in Henry County as having renounced his allegiance to Great Britain, along with Thomas and James. (Part of Pittsylvania became Henry County in 1776.) William Hollandsworth was listed on the 1787 Henry County Tax List, but not taxable, probably because of old age. This is the last listing I've found for William. Also listed are Thomas, James, and Isaac Hollandsworth. You might mention on the Hollingsworth forum that you have this Rev. War record for a William Hollingsworth. Someone there may claim him. I'm glad to see you on Genforum again. Notify Administrator about this message?
