Cornelia Burch Portrait, 1581 - Dutch School

There is a famous oil portrait of "Cornelia Burch aged Two Months-Dutch School. Oil on Canvas, 1581 @ Hull Museums & Galleries. Do not know the name of the artist. However, this proves that there were some rich Burch ancestors living in Holland that commissioned this portrait.

Our Burch family legend claims that Burch ancestors came through Holland, Ireland & England & then immigrated to America. Our family patriarch, Thomas Birch/Burch, was born in Ireland 1746...died 17 April 1844 in Monongalia W.VA. He had immigrated to America around 1776 & fought in the Revolutionary War.

We would love to correspond with other Burch Family relatives & researchers therein Holland who can provide some Burch Genealogy and history. I look forward to hearing from you.
Take care & God Bless!
