Nancy, Looked at some immigration records: Arriving 2 February 1874 from Liverpool on the "S.S. Baltic" into New York; page 3 of the manifest: Lodewyk Glauburg, age of 26, laborer, coming from Germany Hendrick Glauburg, age 45, laborer, coming from Germany It was not unusual to have Dutch immigrants to be registered as coming from Germany and also for them to travel first to the port of Liverpool to board a ship to America from there. In light of the fact that the birth info you list for a Hendrik Glauburg, born in Amsterdam, has his father listed as Lodewijk it seems logical that this is the same one. Age mistakes on ship manifests were also common. I am not related to this family. John Notify Administrator about this message?
