I'm looking for the children of this couple from Westchester County, NY.
I'm hoping they are the parents of my William Henry Hopkins born Feb 13, 1838 Springville, Erie Co., NY.
He married Katherine "Kate" Moore (1845-1924) Dec 28, 1864 in Andrew, Jackson Co., Iowa after his return from the Civil War.
She is the d/o George & Adelia Moore of Schenectady, NY and later of Story County, Iowa. 5 kids: Wm B. Hopkins b 1866 the only son.
There is some speculation that this line is descended from RI Gov Stephen Hopkins, signer of the Declaration of Independence. But we have some missing links.
Wm F. Hopkins was born into a Quaker family, the s/o Samuel
and Phebe Carpenter Hopkins. Samuel(1786-1846) was the son of Stephen Hopkins (1765 L.I., NY) and Susan Lawrence.
