Billy A. Holland
SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Billy A. Holland, 92, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2009 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. William Valentine and Grandson Rev. Phillip Holland. Interment will follow in Forest Park St. Vincent. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. before the service on Friday.
Billy was born on June 11, 1917 and went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ on September 7, 2009. He was a lifelong resident of Shreveport and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he served in various ways including Church Treasurer and Deacon. Billy was retired from Texas and Pacific Railroad as an engineer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and trusted friend.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 72 years, Sissy Holland; son: Rick Holland and wife, Patti; daughter: Patty Holland Aten and husband, Ronny; grandchildren, Jo Ann Fant and husband Steven, Susan Kruckermier and husband, Don, Jeff Aten, Patrick Holland and wife, Stacy, Phillip Holland and wife, Angie; great-grandchildren: Caitlyn Hutson, Jennah Aten, Hailey Fant, Jordan Aten, Dylan Holland, and Adleigh Holland. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister and great-grandson, Zachary McFadden.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Aten, Patrick Holland, Phillip Holland, Steve Gore, and Harry Lowry. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
