I am also fairly new to this genealogy thing, but having a blast doing it. I am also trying to find my Holliday/Holladay connection. My Holliday ancestor is Agnes Tranquilla Holliday. She listed that she was born in Garwin Community, Alabama (I can find NOTHING on that at all). Her dob is March 25, 1871 in Alabama. She married James Edward "Edd" Taylor in "Garwin Community, AL" in 1899 and they then moved to Wise County, TX. My great-grandmother is their eldest child. Agnes Holliday Taylor died June 1963 in Wise County, TX and is buried in the Boyd Cemetery. If anyone has any information that could help me find the parents of Agnes I would very much appreciate it.
