My Holgates were from the Newark NJ area (and earlier from Scranton Pa area, I think). My grandfather had 2 sisters buried in the family plot. One was Lulu Holgate who died in 1896. And the second was Edna M Cochrane nee Holgate (1873-1896). Their parents were Thomas F Holgate and Katherine G Holgate. So far, I have not been able to find any info on Edna's husband and if they had any children. Edna's death cert was not found in an Essex County search, so she may have died elsewhere ( I assume in NJ ). Well, it was the Cochrane -Holgate connection that caught my interest.
