I know this is a long shot, but decided to post anyhow. Am hoping this "might" ring a bell with someone. A lot of years have passed but here is the story. Several years ago (prior to 1965) my Uncle received a phone call from someone in Oklahoma about a possible connection from there to our OHIO HOOVER family. I only found out about this a few years ago so do not know a lot about the conversation between my Uncle and the other person, However, from what I understand it had something to do with someone or something that was either "connected" to our family, or "possibly" connected. I do not know what that someone or something was. I do understand that the person left their phone number for my uncle to call them back about the subject at hand. However, after he spoke to his siblings, they opted not to make the return call, for "whatever" their reasons were at the time. My Uncle, my father, and the rest of the children have since passed. I found out about the call from my Aunt who was married to the HOOVER Uncle who received the call. She could not recall everything discussed in the conversation seeing it had been so many years. Although I do not "really" know what the phone call was about, I believe it "MAY" have been connected to my Grandfather Arthur CLAYTON HOOVER, his MOTHER RACHEL HOLEMAN HOOVER or to Horatio HOOVER, my GR. Grandfather. I am only thinking in those terms because of family genealogy I have been working on for "many" years, and events surrounding the above persons.Much of which I have not been able to find answers. If anyone thinks any of this sounds even a little familiar, I would like to hear from them. Perhaps it would fit some of the puzzle pieces together for my HOOVERS.
