Hello all..I have found my William James Holman (HOleman, Holdman) in the 1880 census of Bourbon County, Kansas, in Ft. Scott area. He was born 1830 in Illinois. His parents were listed as being born in Kentucky in that census. He fought in the Union Army out of Illinois in the Civil War.
His wife's name was Sara Ann Atkins, b. 1832, also in Illinois. They were married in Shelby Co., Illinois. Their children, who were all born in Illinois were William born 1858 ; Margaret, born 1868 ; Martha Ellen, born 1871 ; and Harriet born 1874 . Does anyone have this family in their Holman (in all its many spellings!) group?
Thanks for any help!
Marti
