Hi Marci,

WOW, I have info. on this Holeman line going back to abt. 1700! I have been trying to find someone to take pictures of their grave stones......... small world!

You are related to this line?

Mary Jane Holeman (nee Lake)in your posting was the first wife of Aaron Benton Holeman. HIs second wife was Jemima Moore.

I know I have the relationship of Mina Holeman 1864-1963 to this family (I remember that name since it is not a common name in this line) but will have to look for that info. (My computer genealogy program crashed and I lost my notes/verification.)I have paper back up of info. I've obtained but have not gotten it all put back on the computer.

Starting with myself this is how my line of Holeman ancestors goes.

Susan "Suki" Lorraine McDaniel 1940-
Leroy (nmn) McDaniel 1916-1989
O'dessie Lorraine Mayhugh 1896-1989
Ada HOMEMAN 1871-1916
Willis Dollens HOLEMAN 1847-1909
James Martin HOLEMAN 1826-1903
Aaron HOLEMAN 1792-1871
Isaac HOLEMAN 1757-1843
Isaac HOLEMAN 1725-1807
Daniel HOLEMAN abt. 1700-1784

At the Franklin Public Library, Franklin, IN. there is a great book "Holman/Holeman Family History". I was only able to get a few pages of this book copied and sent to me that dealt with Isaac b. 1725 down to my 1st great grandmother, Ada HOLEMAN b. 1871. This book, census records, marriage records, Holman/Holeman Newsletter etc., are (were? Grrrr)my verifications. The LDS has census records showing the above family lines living in Hensley Twp., IN.

I have a picture of Aaron b. 1792 and his wife, Aletha nee Hilton-HOLEMAN.

Is there someway I could arrange with you to get copies of the pictures you took? I live in Oregon so doubt that I will ever get to the Old Bethleham Cemetery to take pictures of my HOLEMAN ancestors headstones.

Willis Dollens & his wife, Miranda Jane nee Walker, are buried in Eash Hill Cemetery, Morgan County, IN. I can't find out where their dau. Ada is buried. Supposedly she is also buried in East Hill but not record or gravestone can be located to verify this info..

My Grandmother, O'dessie (Holeman)Mayhugh-McDaniel-Miller is buried in Hemet, Riverside Co., California. My father, Leroy was cremated. His ashes were brought to me in Oregon. His ashes were placed (along with my mother's 1916-1992)on a hillside in an area they love just east of Klamath Falls, Or.

I have family group records on my above listed HOLEMAN ancestors. If you would like I will make copies and send them to you via snail mail if you would'nt mind giving me you address.

Maybe, if this is your like, we can do some swaping of information?

Hope to hear from you soon. If you care to contact me please put HOLEMAN in the subject line so I won't delete it!
