This indenture made n the 17th day of May A.D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy-Six by and between W. C. Holeman and Mary A. Holeman, his wife of the county of Los Angeles and State of California parties of the first part, and Susan Ann Berry of the county of Clinton and State of Missouri party of the second part witnesseth that the said parties of the first part in consideration of the sum of One & 00/00 Dollar to them paid by the party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged do by these presents _______ release and forever quit claim unto the said party of the second part the following described _____ tracts or parcels of land lying being and situate in the County of Clinton and State of Missouri to said seventy (twenty?) acres of land _____ and branded (?) as follows beginning at the south east corner of the north west quarter of section one 111 in Township fifty-four (54) of Range thirty-three (33) running thence west one hundred and ten rods thence north twenty-nine 1/11 rods thence east one hundred and ten rods thence south twenty-nine 1/l11 rods to the beginning and the north east quarter of the south west quarter of _____ section (?) Township and Range containing sixty acres _____ in ______ to have and to hold _____ ______with all the rights and privileges ______ and appurtenances _____ belonging unto the said party of the second part and ____ heirs and assigns forever so that neither ____ said parties of the first part______ _____ nor any other person or persons for ______ or in ______ name on behalf shall or will hereinafter _____ or demand any right or title to the aforesaid ______ or any part thereof but they and every of them shall by these presents be excluded and forever barred.

Potts County Clerk and en office clerk of the County Court in and for said County personally appeared. W. C. Holman and Mary A. Holman his wife whose names are subscribed to the _______ instrument known to me to be the same persons, described in and who executed the said instrument who each of them acknowledged to me that they respectfully executed the same and the said Mary A. Holman described as a married woman and the wife of the said W. C. Holman upon examination without the hearing of her husband I made ______ acquainted with the ______ of said individual and thereupon she acknowledged to me that she executed the same ______, that she does not wish to retract ____ such execution.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and official seal if said court at my office in the said county of Los Angeles on day and year in this certificate first above written.
