My grandfather died when I was only 5 or 6 years old. So the answer is no I have no obituary. I had been told by my mom it he was also called LaRue. On my moms birth certificate it only says Rue C. Holdrege born in Pennsylvania, married in Afton, New York. No I have not done the census yet. They seem to want a small fortune for the information. I think I will be going to Albany, New York soon to the state capitol. I will probable go to a book store as well. Maybe even a library.
Thank you very much for this lead.
