I have a Jacob Holderman, who is the son of John Holderman and would be born about 1837. This is what I have from the 1850 Census for Washington Township, Preble County, Ohio:

John Holderman       49       M       Miller       $8,500       Virginia       4 attended school in past yr.
Jemima              38       F                     Ohio
Sophrenia       16       F                     Ohio
Jacob              13       M                     Ohio
Fergus              11       M                     Ohio
Sally               9       F                     Ohio
Isabel               6       F                     Ohio
Sarah A.               3       F                     Ohio
John Jr.               2/12       M                     Ohio

By the way (you may know), Holmes Cty, Ohio has the largest Amish/Mennonite population in the US today. My dad's side of the family is near Holmes County and I love visiting!
